A New Product to keep your child safe through GPS and Voice Monitoring

Angelsense offers a new solution to keep your child with special needs safe through GPS and Voice Monitoring. The Country of Israel is renowned as one of the top technology hubs around the world. Israel has been a hotbed of technology for decades with every major tech company such as Intel, Microsoft, Google and Facebook having research labs and/or offices in Israel.Recently Apple, Cisco, Google and Facebook have acquired Israeli technology companies (Read Start-Up Nation for an in-depth look at Israel's tech sector). For this reason it is no surprise that another Israeli technology company is just getting started. The company, called AngelSense has developed a new tracking and voice monitoring device that will help parents of children with autism and other special needs keep track of and monitor their child.

The Story Behind AngelSense

The idea behind AngelSense came from co-founders Doron Somer and Nery Ben-Azar. Doron is the father of Itamar a 17-year old with Autism.  With an extensive tech background (both in Silicon Valley and Israel) in analytics and sensor processing, Doron knew he could put his skills to good use and develop something that would benefit families of children with autism. Nary Ben-Azar has been active in various social ventures over the years and saw a huge opportunity to give parents a sense of safety and independence for their child. Together the two have build a product that can:
  • Improve the care of the child and avoid mistreatment.
  • Quickly locate a lost child.
  • Bring peace of mind for the parents and family members.
  • Increase a child’s self-confidence.
  • Provide a higher level of independence for the child.

What Sets AngelSense ApartAngelsense Tracking Device

There are currently several tracking devices currently on the market that can help find children with autism that have wandered off. Many of these devices are pretty good but there are a few features that makes AngelSense a potential leader in this field.

Building a Schedule

The AngelSense solution is based on an analytic server that processes the GPS data and automatically builds the schedule of the child throughout the day and identifies deviations from it. AngelSense alerts you via Text or Email when a child leaves a location unexpectedly. These alerts help provide early warning when the child runs away. In this new solution AngelSense puts a lot of emphasis on creating algorithms base your child's activity. The more you use it the more it learns about your child's daily activities. The analytic capabilities of AngelSense help remove false alerts that other tracking devices often give. Runner Mode

If the child runs away, the parent can switch the system to a special Runner Mode that provides additional tools for locating a lost child. Runner mode:
  • Increases the frequency of location updates to every 10 seconds (to closely monitor the child's location)
  • Lets you  use Listen-In mode to hear the child's surroundings
  • Enable "My Location Mode " to display the guardian/parent location as well as the direction and distance to the lost child.

Indoor Tracking

GPS technology is severely limited indoors (think lost in a mall).  To help find someone that is lost indoors AngelSense lets you trigger a sound in the device to try and locate someone indoors. The ability to listen-in provides further help to locate a missing child when indoors.

Listen In Capabilities

AngelSense comes with listen-in capabilities for when you really need to know that your child is ok. If needed a parent can listen in to a child's surroundings to make sure he is safe or when trying to find their child. The listen-in capabilities does not record any audio.

Comfortable and Sensory Friendly

Angelsense Sleeve AngelSense has developed specialized wearing accessories that prevent the child from removing the device or disrupting the device operation. The accessories are designed to meet the unique challenges of children with sensory issues. The parent is provided a special magnetic key to detach the device. The accessories include an attachment inside the pants pocket, a specialized body belt and a leash for independent children.
