Friendship Circle seeks donations for children’s adaptive bicycle fund-raiser

The Friendship Circle is hosting its 5th annual Great Bike Giveaway fund-raiser with a goal to give away 600 adaptive bicycles to children with special needs, nationwide. Because adaptive bicycles are expensive, many parents of children with special needs cannot afford them. The Friendship Circle of Michigan has partnered with nine adaptive bicycle companies around the country to help, according to a statement by the organization.

WALK4FRIENDSHIP annual walk to raise money for children with special needs in West Bloomfield

The annual WALK4FRIENDSHIP walk will be happening this weekend in West Bloomfield — raising money for special needs children.

The walk will happen on Aug. 31, with festivities beginning around 12:30 p.m. with opening ceremonies, which take place at Friendship Circle. The goal of the event is to raise $600,000.
