Teen Volunteers

The Teen Division of the Morrie and Sybil Fenkell Volunteer Club has grown to over 450 young adults ages 14-21. Each volunteer is matched with a child who has special needs. Together, they form a friendship by participating together in one or many of Friendship Circle’s weekly recreational programs.

Why Should I Join?
  • A fun and exciting way of giving back to the community.
  • Fulfill your school’s community service requirement.
  • To gain a broader understanding about children with special needs and their disabilities.
  • To make a difference in a child’s life by becoming their best friend.
  • Participate in exclusive volunteer only special events

Friendship Circle provides over 40 weekly and seasonal programs for children, teens and young adults. Learn about all of the programs we offer in this section.

Teen Presidents

Every year Friendship Circle elects presidents. Presidents have many roles including being a role model for the kids and other volunteers.

For all new volunteers interested in joining Friendship Circle there is a three step process to get started. If you have already started volunteering or met with a volunteer coordinator you can get started by visiting my.friendshipcircle.org.

Step One: Register to Volunteer

Fill out the form below to let us know you are interested in volunteering.

Step Two: Creating your account and Selecting Programs

Once we receive your registration form a volunteer coordinator will send you a welcome email with instructions on how to set up your online account. Your online account will be at my.friendshipcircle.org. In your account you will need to fill out your profile and select which program you would like to volunteer at.

Step Three: Meet with a volunteer coordinator

Friendship Circle requires that all new volunteers participate in an intake meeting before they can participate in programs. You will meet with a volunteer who will give you a tour of our facility and discuss the programs that you would like to volunteer in. The intake is also a good time to ask any questions or share any concerns you may have.
