About

Addiction and mental health challenges carry a ton of stigma, which can make it difficult to find a community and make connections. Daniel B. Sobel Friendship House provides support and guidance to individuals and families struggling with isolation, addiction, and other life crises. Friendship House does this in a variety of ways, which includes sober holiday BBQ’s, lunch ‘n’ learns, retreats and events, which at the core offer Judaic, spiritual guidance and support from the Friendship House Rabbi and Rebbetzin. Unfortunately, this is a part of society that is typically thrown under the rug. But at Friendship House, people find a safe, Jewish place that will accept them along their journey.
