About Janice Fialka
Janice Fialka, LMSW is a national speaker, author of several books and articles, social worker and advocate for people with disabilities and their families on topics related to inclusion, family-professional partnership and raising a child with disabilities. She has coproduced the award-winning documentary about her son's college experience, "Through the Same Door: Inclusion Includes College." In 2007, she was recognized as Social Worker of the Year by the National Association of Social Work-Michigan Chapter. Janice and her family were recognized for a Lifetime Achievement Award by Family Voices. Janice has wonderful memories of the Friendship Circle activities and involvement when Micah was in middle and high school.
