How Friendship Circle Mobilized its Non-Profit Community

@SMCD RT #140C- Does that mean anything to you?
Allow me to translate. This scramble of letter and characters are codes for using Twitter. And for the longest time, we thought someone just fell asleep on their keyboard. But during the Chase Community Giving Campaign, we realized that social media presented an unequivocal opportunity to expand our message and build brand awareness on an international scale.
Not wanting to miss a beat, we jumped head first into the Social Media world by creating a Facebook page, blog and a twitter account. During our free-fall, a local PR company known as Identity PR scooped us up in mid-air, hooked us up to a parachute and helped us descend strategically into this new world. This week, Identity asked me to speak at a local networking event, called Social Media Club Detroit. This event gave me an opportunity to speak about Friendship Circle’s leap of faith into the social media world via the Chase Community Giving Campaign. Here is the slideshow we created for this awesome (and inspirational!) event. Enjoy!
