Lessons for Life students will be able to experience a restaurant setting infused with critical life skills such as decision making, proper communication, healthy eating options, restaurant and eating etiquette and more.

Catering Kitchen

A professional kitchen, located within the restaurant, will lend itself to vocational training opportunities such as food ordering, preparation, serving, customer communication, health and sanitation

Store Front 1 & 2

By using a temporary divider, these two store fronts will serve as a transitional space that can transform into one or two storefronts. These two spaces will be regularly changed to into new storefronts to incorporate new life skills and vocational training opportunities.

Proposed Village Expansion

The purpose of the village expansion is to add more capacity for the Lessons for Life program and to begin a new vocational training program. In brainstorming the expansion, we made sure that all new spaces serve a dual purpose of expanding our Lessons for Life curriculum and maximizing the ideal vocational training opportunities. This new expansion square will be visited yearly by thousands of students with special needs across Metro Detroit.
