Words are worse than sticks and stones [Video]

An 8th Grader at a Connecticut Middle  School posted a video on YouTube about the nasty things said to her. In the video she pleads for an end to the bullying. In just over two weeks the video has been viewed over 30,000 times. The video is powerful, but what is even more inspiring are the 900+ comments that have been posted giving her support and encouragement. What is very sad is that many of the people commenting have been bullied themselves. Below we have posted some of the comments. You can watch the video and read the comments on YouTube or read a story about the video from the Westport News.
Alye, The reason your video touched so many people is: you are me. You are each and every one of us. We have all gone through what you're going through. And that's what it will take to end bullying. All of us. Your school should have a ZERO tolerance policy and IMPLEMENT it thouroughly. Your parents (I'm one) should be at school often, and I'm getting a feeling that after this video you may just have their attention. Way to go kid. You're not only going to help yourself but all the kids!
Alye, Thank you so much for being brave, for posting this so that so many can really see what you and your family are going through. I don't know you Alye, but I have an Alye as well, one who has been bullied since 6th grade. She has also endured the worst and continues to deal with it today.
Your Strength will keep you going, believe in yourself! This YouTube shows your strength is great! School will end and life will be better. It's a shame, kids are the worst bullies. I spent my life being judged/bullied and it's been hard but I never gave up, I"m still HERE!
